NordPass is a state-of-the-art password manager that helps you store individual and complex passwords for all your accounts in a secure digital vault. It offers ease of access and security. In this NordPass review, we will take a look at what NordPass is, how it works, and how it.

When logged into your NordPass account, click on the “Settings” tab at the bottom of the left-hand navigation. Then in the right hand content area, scroll down till you find the “security” section. To the right of “Two-factor Authentication,” click “ENABLE.”. In the pop-up, enter your NordPass. Created by the company that developed NordVPN, NordPass is a fresh addition to the password manager industry.Don't let its early age deceive you though. Clearly, the team behind NordPass did a good job scouting the competition and came up with a comprehensive password manager, while still offering a very competitive price and even a free plan.

NordPass is relatively new to the password management industry, while 1Password is a veteran that has been securely storing users’ information since 2006. Despite their age difference, they both offer a reliable way to store your sensitive information. By providing end-to-end encryption and zero-knowledge architecture, neither NordPass nor 1Password have access to your master password and, therefore, access to anything in your vault. However, they do business very differently and cater to different target audiences, meaning that only one will work best for you.

NordPass

Developed by the team behind NordVPN, NordPass is a user-friendly, if a little basic, password manager. It supports three data entry types: passwords, credit card details, and secure notes, and it’s available for all operating systems on both desktop and mobile. One of NordPass’s main strengths is how easy it is to use. The software looks great and, by allowing you to categorize data entries, going through your stored items is a piece of cake. That being said, to get access to the autofill and autosave features, installing the browser extension is required, which can be a turn off for macOS users as NordPass isn’t available for Safari.

Adding a New Password

As expected from a company that developed one of the most beloved VPNs on the market, NordPass offers strong security measures. By providing end-to-end encryption and utilizing zero-knowledge architecture, all information is safely stored in the password manager’s servers where nobody, not even NordPass itself, can get access to it.

Use our special promotional code below and if you haven’t used RoboForm before you can enjoy RoboForm Everywhere or Family for as low as $1.16 per month, saving 30% on the subscription fees.

The best part about NordPass is getting all of these features entirely for free, as well as the option to synchronize through an unlimited number of devices. However, to stay logged in on several devices simultaneously and securely share items with other people, a premium account is necessary. Prices start at $2.49 per month, and there’s also a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee available.

1Password

1Password is one of the most comprehensive password managers on the market. It supports so many types of data that you may see yourself saving all of your delicate personal information in 1Password’s vault. Moreover, the software also provides all the required tools to ensure that none of your accounts have been breached. In addition to a flexible password generator, 1Password also offers an auditor that warns you about weak or duplicated passwords as well as when it’s time to change your password for a specific account.

Since you’ll be storing very sensitive information, it’s essential that 1Password provides strong security, which it does. All data is encrypted end to end with military-grade AES-256 encryption and the company doesn’t have access to your master password. So, even if 1Password’s servers were hacked, cyber criminals wouldn’t be able to access your information.

1Password Password Generator

Unfortunately, this password manager doesn’t have a free plan. Instead, you can take advantage of the 30-day free trial to test the software. After that, a paid subscription is necessary. There are different subscriptions designed for personal and business use, but the lowest price you can get 1Password for is just $1 per month via the family plan.

Conclusion

Although 1Password and NordPass are both reliable password managers, they work very differently. The former is a comprehensive piece of software that allows you to have all your personal information securely stored in one place. The latter is more basic and focuses on what a password manager was originally built for – storing passwords. However, NordPass does allow you to use the software for free. If you want to share items with others then you’ll need NordPass’s paid subscription, which can be more expensive than 1Password. In conclusion, which password manager is best depends on what you need. If you’re looking for a simple password manager for personal use only, then NordPass's free version is more than enough. If you need more than that, 1Password’s paid subscriptions are more competitive overall.

Install Authy

The best way to manage all your 2FA accounts is to use the Authy app. It enables you to have a single mobile app for all your 2FA accounts and you can sync them across multiple devices, even accessing them on the desktop. Install Authy on your device by searching for it in your device’s app store.

Important: If any sites prompt you to use Google Authenticator for two-factor authentication, note that you can always substitute the Authy 2FA app instead. Although they work in similar ways, Authy is more feature-rich and allows for multi-device syncing, cloud-backups, and easier account recovery should you change or lose your phone or device.
